I would rather pass a turn or two and rip off another frenzy or heal spell than do a ranged or melee attack that does minimal damage. Something new would have been greatly appreciated. My build so far, I have maxed out her astral points, astral regeneration and range. In BG1 one could influence the damage by raising stats (first screen on the character sheet). I have trained Cassia to a level 100 archer.
In BG 1 almost all attack spells were useless and you had to rely on debuffing enemies or buffing your own guys. Hei guys, just started the game and only have freed the first two maps.
